FOOD HABITS FOR A DIABETIC PERSON

Everything we eat affects the level of our blood sugar and insulin.That is why food is a main factor in the beginning, development and treatment of the disease. The following diet is one of the most important factors in treating diabetes. Even if you take medicine to keep your sugar at the right level, it is still very important to eat the right foods. Talk to your doctor about what diet is right for you because it should be based on the severity of your condition, your life style and your type of work.
Here are just general guide lines. You should get vitamins C, K and group B. Natural sources of vitamin C are wild roses, citruses, apples, parsley and vegetables.Sources of vitamin B1 are yeast, whole grains, poultry and many vegetables. You will get vitamin B2 with yeast, milk, eggs, fish and meat. There is vitamin A in cream butter, milk, meat and fish. Sources of carotene are vegetables and fruits.
These foods are recommended: pomegranate, lemon, onion, garlic, cinnamon (1/2 tea spoon of cinnamon a day will lower your blood sugar. You also can add pieces of cinnamon in your tea), fish, broccoli, kidney beans, lentil, barley, cabbage, turnip, coriander seeds, blueberries, pears, beans, viburnum, dogwood, pumpkin, beets, cabbage, oatmeal and horseradish.
These foods are NOT recommended: sugar, jam, syrups, beer and mayonnaise.
Limit the foods containing cholesterol like cream butter, fat meat, egg yolks and lard, etc.

Remember that there is a lot of glucose in some fruits and vegetables, like grapes, bananas, potatoes and persimmon.
 

 RICE DIET REMEDY FOR DIABETIC PEOPLE - VERY EFFECTIVE TREATMENT !

 
Day1. Prepare 3 glasses. Put 1 table spoon of white rice in the 1st glass. Fill it in with boiled water. Leave it for 3 days.
Day 2.  Put 1 table spoon of the rice in the 2nd glass. Fill it in with boiled water. Leave it for 3 days.
Day 3.  Put 1 table spoon of the rice in the 3rd glass. Fill it in with boiled water. Leave it for 3 days.
Day 4. Eat the rice and drink the water from the first glass in the morning before breakfast. Then do not eat anything for 3 hours. The same day put again 1 table spoon of the rice in the 1st glass and add boiled water. Leave it for 3 days.
Day 5. Eat the rice and drink the water from the 2nd glass in the morning before breakfast. Then do not eat anything for 3 hours. The same day put again 1 table spoon of rice in the 2nd glass and add boiled water. Leave it for 3 days.

This 'rice conveyor' lasts for 20 days. Then take a 40 day break.
Start the 'rice conveyor' again on the 41st day. You have to count days and follow these numbers, if you want a great result. Your blood sugar will be kept at the right level.
Notes: - For this recipe you should use a long cooking type of white rice.
- 1 glass is 8 oz or 240 ml of water.

 

EFFECTIVE HOME REMEDIES TO CURE DIABETES

  • Cut 1 table spoon of elder bark into fine pieces and add 1 glass of boiling water. Boil it for 15 min, let it sit and filter it. Drink 1/4 of glass 3-4 times a day 15 min before a meal.
  • Take 4 oz of oatmeal, add 1 L of cool boiled water and leave it for 12 hours. Drink 3 oz of the water 3 times a day.
  • Eat bearberries (uva ursi) throughout the year.
  • Take 1 table spoon of dry bearberry's leaves, add 1 glass of boiling water and let it sit for 30 min. Take 1 table spoon of the tea 3 times a day.
  • Drink 1/4 glass of beet juice 4 times a day.
  • Eat 2-3 oz of hawthorn berries after meals. You also can grind dry fried hawthorn berries and substitute coffee.
  • Take 1 table spoon of dry nettle, add 1 glass of boiling water, let it sit for 1 hour (cover the pot with warm blanket) and drink 1/2 of the tea 30 min before meal.
  • Take 6 g of dry dandelion root, add 1 glass of boiling water and boil it for 15 min. Let it cool and filter it. Take 1/2 oz (15 ml) 3 times a day.
  • Take 1 tea spoon of dry ground blueberry leaves, add 1 glass of boiling water and let it sit for 30 min. Then filter it and drink 1/3 glass of the tea 3 times a day.
  • Eat blackberries and raspberries.
  • Take 15 g of plantain seeds, add 1 glass of boiling water, boil it for 5 min, let it cool and filter it. Take 1/2 oz (15 ml) 3 times a day.
  • Grind 3/4 pound (300g) of celery and 5-6 lemons and boil it for 2 hours on very low heat. Let it cool and keep it in your refrigerator. Take 1/2 table spoon of the remedy in the morning 30 min before breakfast (only once a day) for 2-3 months. Take 2-3 month break and repeat it again.
  • Peel a big onion, add milk and boil the onion in the milk until the onion becomes very soft. Eat only the onion. Do it twice a month: in the beginning and at the end.
  • Put two white kidney beans into a small liquor glass, add cool boiled water and leave it for a night. In the morning eat the kidney beans and drink the water.
  • Prepare 9 red skin potatoes. Every morning clean and peel one potato, grate it on a plastic grater, squeeze the juice and drink it before breakfast. You can eat a breakfast in 30-40 min. Do it for 9 days. Repeat in 2 weeks.
  • Grind 4 glasses of walnuts and 4 glasses of buckwheat in a coffee grinder and mix it. Take 1 table spoon 30 min before a meal (chew good and do not drink water) 3 times a day. Do it all the time.
  • Take 2 pounds of raw sunflower seeds, add 3 L of water and boil it for 6 hours on low heat. It should be 2 glasses left. Eat 1 glass in the morning before breakfast and the other one at night.
  • Take 3 heads of garlic and 3 lemons, add 1 L of Water and let it sit for a few hours. Drink 1/2 glass of the water 3 times a day.

KNOW WHY DIABETIC PEOPLES ARE ADVISED NOT TO TAKE LIQUOR (DRINK)

 

Usually alcohol is not recommended for people who have diabetes. And it is hard to find an explanation why. There are two sources of getting sugar in your blood: carbohydrates of your food and glucose from your liver. If you are healthy, you constantly get glucose from your liver and your blood sugar does not drop lower than 3.3 mmol/L.
If you have diabetes and you are not getting glucose from your liver,  your blood sugar will be increased after you eat but the carbohydrates will be assimilated by your body because of the insulin effect and the level of your blood sugar will drop lower than 3.3 mmol/L. You will get a serious case of hypoglycemia.
Alcohol blocks entering glucose from your liver. That is why if you are going to drink alcohol, you should prevent getting hypoglycemia. NEVER take pills that lower your sugar before drinking. You must eat before drinking and alcohol will be absorbed slower. Do not drink champagne because the bubbles help fast alcohol absorption. You have to eat carbohydrates (cereal, bread, pasta, ziti or apples) right after your drink.  
Check your blood sugar in a few hours.
When your blood sugar suddenly drops a lot, you can feel sudden weakness, cold perspiration, numbness of your lips and tongue, intense hunger, trembling and a rapid heartbeat.
If you feel that your blood sugar is decreasing, get fast absorbing carbohydrates like a few pieces of sugar, very sweet tea, water or juice because usually you have only about 1 min to start helping yourself before it is too late. Do not eat candies, chocolate or cookies because glucose from this kind of food assimilates slowly. After, you should eat a few pieces of dark bread or a bowl of potatoes or cereal.
Tell your relatives and friends in advance what they have to do in a case of hypoglycemia. Your friends and relatives should not pour water or put any food in your mouth if you passed out. If you do not have glucagon for injection, they should rub some honey or fruit jam in your gum.ALWAYS have a few pieces of sugar and  dark bread with you.
Also, it will be great if you prepare a card with information about how to help you if you suddenly get hypoglycemia and pass out. Carry this card everywhere with you.

BEAUTY TIPS FOR DIABITIC PERSONS - HEAL YOUR SCRATCHES !

People who have diabetes know that it takes a long time for even small scratches to heal. Sometimes it can be very painful.

Here is a great easy remedy. Prepare carrot oil. Put 1 glass of grated carrots in a small pot and cover the carrots with vegetable oil. Put the small pot in a big pot with boiling water (steam bath). Close the small pot with a cover. Keep it on a heat for about 15 min (until the oil in the small pot is ready to boil) and let it cool in room temperature. Then filter the oil. Your carrot oil is ready. Rub it in your sore spots and eat 1 tea spoon of the oil 4 times a day. Hold it in your mouth for 3 min before swallowing. Keep the carrot oil in your refrigerator. You will not believe how fast your sore spots will heal.
